Corey received the Disability Insurance (DI) Quality Producer Award from Principal Financial Group in November celebrating 10 years of quality business.
The Quality Producer Award is given to insurance advisers in the insurance industry who excel in the placement of disability income policies with Principal Financial Group. The Disability Insurance Quality Producer Program identifies and rewards Principal Financial Group’s best disability producers. Members of this group have met criteria including a high level of Individual Disability Insurance production; good persistency; favorable morbidity experience, and low wastage, meaning when producers submit an application, the policy gets placed. The disability insurance industry in general typically averages in the low 60% in placement whereas Corey places nearly 95% of all applications submitted.

HOW PINTEREST ADS WILL HELP YOUR SOCIAL CAMPAIGNS

After receiving positive feedback from advertisers, Pinterest has decided to take the next step with its advertisements (which are reportedly still in beta testing). In May 2014, Promoted Pins were launched with a small group of advertisers to see how businesses within specific industries—like retail, food, travel, and TV—would be affected. Because of its success, Pinterest has begun adding new advertisers to beta testing and plans to release the full ads version to all businesses soon.
What Are Promoted Pins?
Similar to Twitter’s promoted tweets and Facebook’s sponsored posts, Promoted Pins use a cost-per-click model to get advertisers in front of target audiences on the social network. Businesses can modify where Promoted Pins show up based on keywords, geographical areas, gender, type of device, languages, etc. They can also select a time frame for the Promoted Pin and monitor its effectiveness using Pinterest Analytics.
So What’s The Big Deal?
Once it’s officially launched, Promoted Pins will be available to all businesses, no matter the size or industry, and the impact’s going to be big for a few reasons:
- Size. Pinterest’s numbers aren’t available to the public, but several third-party studies peg it at about 40 million monthly active users, and it’s growing domestically and internationally.
- Unobtrusive ads. Promoted Pins show up in Pinterest search and category feeds/pages and don’t look different from regular pins. Pinterest has worked to make Promoted Pins tasteful, transparent, and relevant, and the company is responsive to pinner and business feedback to give both the best experience.
- Buying power. Right now, Pinterest controls between 23-25% of retail referral traffic to e-commerce sites. Combining ads with the product-driven, image-oriented network will make it one of the most important shopping sites on the web. Pinners are also 10% more likely to make online purchases than any other social network users.
- Consumer search engine. Pinterest is more of a consumerist search engine than a social network because it’s a product environment where brands are welcomed and pinners are encouraged to shop on e-commerce sites. Also, most pinners are women between the ages of 18-39 in prime buying years.
- Aspirational social network. People use Pinterest to plan things they haven’t done yet. They make boards for places to travel, recipes to cook, projects to make, workouts to try, and more. On frequented social networks like Facebook or Twitter, people often talk about their pasts and analyze the present. Pinterest, however, is more about who users want to be in the future, which means they’re great marketing targets.
Pinterest has huge potential to help your social campaigns be more successful because its content has a longer life cycle than other social networks, and your business can get information directly from your consumers on what they’re interested in, what they want to do, and who they want to be.
From what it sounds like, Pinterest ads will help shape your marketing strategy to fit the needs of your consumers and make it easier to connect with those consumers to get more conversions.
